Drone technologies: challenges and opportunities
In recent years Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPAs), which in the past had been of interest only for military applications, have started to play a significant role in civil applications as well, ranging from personal and commercial use to countless industrial fields.
In the framework of civil applications, multirotor RPAs represent the most common architecture, due to their versatility and reliability. As a consequence, scientific and industrial activities related to multirotor RPAs have become more and more widespread.
In this talk on 28/2/19 Marco Lovera (ASCL) and Paolo Marras (Aermatica 3D) provided an overview of the state of the art and of the foreseeable trends, both from an academic and an industrial perspective. Download the presentation here.
